To manage the procurement process and provide the company with a competitive advantage in all markets in which it operates, enabling the company to realize its growth and profitability targets.
To formulate and drive a consistent approach towards sourcing, purchasing and tendering activity within the business, ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised and cost savings are generated.
Key success measurement is the ability to demonstrate annual cost savings via commercial, negotiation and strategic initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
Proactively work with departmental heads to rapidly identify major procurement opportunities and deliver quick deals that will enhance profitability within the business
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies.
People Management
Anticipated Outcomes of Role:
Achievement of operational performance criteria.
Compliance with all HSSEQ regulations
Improved order delivery cycle time
Improved customer order fulfillment ratio against SLA
Requirements
Education – A first degree in any management discipline from a recognized institution and/or a relevant postgraduate business qualification (MBA or equivalent tertiary qualification)
Experience – Minimum of 10 years procurement experience. 5 years of which must be procurement management experience, specifically people management. Of the 10 years’ experience, at least 3 years must have been spent in a senior management role.
Professional Membership or Registration – Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
