Job Responsibilities
Teaching pupil instrumental techniques, scales, sight reading and music theory
Helping pupils to prepare for music examinations
Planning individual lessons and overall schemes of work for pupils;
Developing knowledge of materials and repertoire for students at different stages of their musical development
Acquiring appropriate teaching materials/resources
Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to pupils
Ensuring up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
Assessing pupils abilities, providing feedback and writing reports
Communicating with parents about their child’s lessons and progress
Must be able to recognize musical talent in students in order to encourage them to undertake further musical studies

Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum of first Degree in Music education or related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.
Proficiency in Musical instruments
Must have a strong background in Music theory.
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
