Job Objective
Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineers monitor large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location.
They analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system, communicate with site technicians and track problems through to resolution
Responsibilities
Monitor alerts related to Server, Network, Storage and Database using Monitoring tools
Ensure 100% of committed deliverables are met
Sending required Reports and Dashboards
Ensure the monitoring team follows the defined policies and procedures assigned to the Management of alerts raised by infrastructure elements
Perform daily health checks (Network, Servers & Datacentre)
Knowledge of Windows & Network Infrastructure
Perform operations based on the documented procedures
Ensure proper tracking of the alerts/requests received until closure
Ensure first cut notification about major incidents sent to respective stakeholders on preliminary information.
Timely escalate the issues to the next level & Communication will be sent to all the resolver groups”
Academic Qualification
BSc / HND in Computer Science / Engineering or other related courses.
Experience:
7+ years experience as a network engineer preferable in an ISP/Telco environment.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong communications skills both written and verbal.
Capable of making solid, fact-based decisions under pressure.
Ability to work well in an international, multi-cultural, and high-pressure technical environment.
Technical experience in a telecommunications or network operations environment.
Very Good understanding of wireless communications technology
Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification.
