Branding Officer – Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company

Job Description
Responsible for developing IBEDC’s brand through slogans, visual materials and brand names. Create relationships and communication with customers by acting as a driving force in the creation and delivery of the brand profile and corresponding materials, work across departments to support teams in line with IBEDC policies.

Responsibilities
Pre-Brand, Brand and Post-Brand Experience
Uniform and Ambience –
Fasciae, Flagpoles, Collaterals, Roll-Up banners
Ensuring all Signages and merchandising materials across the region are in sync with IBEDC’s corporate standards and culture. This includes physical appearance.
Publicity Materials: Distribution and placement of company’s Posters, Fliers, hand bills across the regional space.
Conduct a needs assessment of marketing materials for the organisation and support the implementation of creating identified materials
Lead on brand awareness initiatives including the research and creation of public-facing documents, identifying partnership opportunities and attending meetings with potential partners when required
Act as a trusted source of written materials of the highest quality for internal actors, including proofing reports, re-writing documents and advising on impact delivery measures –maintaining the Communications Team ‘zero-mistakes’ principle
Lead on internal communications initiatives including a monthly newsletter, coordinating the bi-annual staff conference and support HR with building momentum for staff events
Create and maintain templates for brand materials used for external and internal use such as presentation slides, funding proposals, letterhead, etc.

Competence Requirements
Experience and skill using a camera to take photographs and shoot basic videos.
Experience and skills in software design (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Picasa etc.) is essential
Project management experience and skills, including the ability to set priorities, work to tight and competing deadlines
Proficient in the use of IT/computer-based applications relevant to the task
Ability to write clear and concise reports, statements, etc and to meet short deadlines
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Qualification:
At least a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Journalism, Mass Communications or related field.
Professional Qualification:
Nigeria Institute of Journalism and other related professional bodies are added advantage
Desired Experience:
0-3 years’ experience in Branding & Communication
