Role Summary
The position reports to the Manager, Church/ Public Relation Division under Operation & Programmes Department.
The job holder enrols Christians as Special, Life and Bible-A-Month Club members, raises funds, interfaces and services registered members, donors and volunteers.
He or She shall through good initiative; innovativeness and creativity seek to develop ideas that can help to attract the public interest and support through sustainable funding of the organizations various projects and programmes.
Responsible to and direct reports:
Shall be directly responsible to the Manager, Church/ Public Relation Division under Operation & Programmes Department of the Society.
Role Relationship:
Shall relate from time to time with the Donors/Friends and members of BSN in their various categories; as well as the public and churches for a sustainable, deeper and resourceful relationship.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
Raise sustainable fund to enable the Society achieve her objectives
Generate a broad membership base across the Society membership categories
Create and sustain good image for the Society among Nigerians most especially, Christians
Organize Special Members Forum in relationship with the SMF Chairman
Service members, donors and National Bible Societies
Personnel Specifications
High public and human relations skills, Sound knowledge of the organization, Good communication skill, Presentation skill, Computer literacy – fundraising software and MS Office.
Must have a minimum of HND or 1st degree in Art/ humanities with at least 3 years working experience in public relations or customer relations; Marketing experience will be an added advantage;
Must be a team player who can work along with other young and dynamic group of employees without compromising standards to achieve result;
The person must be mature; ability to network and convince people to buy intangible products is very crucial.
