Summary
The Logistics Officer is responsible for providing the movement, distribution and storage of supplies and materials.
Also, he is involved in monitoring inventory, transportation and warehousing activities to maintain and expedite the supply chain
Duties and Responsibilities
Determine vehicle routes from a different location to the project site for the workforce and effective transit of materials.
Prepare plans for mobilization and demobilization of the project site
Plan and deliver construction waste removal process in accordance with company procedures
Provide ground Logistics activities coordination between the project, procurement team and substantive units.
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily Logistics operations and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of materials and maintenance of inventories.
Responsible for the management of the company’s fixed assets for assigned projects.
Monitor fixed asset planned preventive maintenance schedules.
Perform periodic (Monthly) physical inventory and reconciles with inventory records
Assist in determining proper inventory levels, ordering points, and ordering quantities
Organize warehouse, label goods, machinery, tools, plot routes and process loading, offloading and shipments.
Report damaged or missing inventory to the Procurement Manager
Support CKL HSE rules and regulations, by ensuring the safety of all materials, goods and ensuring the warehouses are always in a good condition
Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
Coordinate with other staff to ensure QMS Warehouse Quality Objectives are met.
Flexible enough to respond to short notice changes in the job description, in order to meet the changing requirements of the project.
Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Educational Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates should possess an Associate or Degree / HND in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Membership of CIPS, CISCM or CIWMM will be an added advantage.
